RICS Level 3 Building Surveys

At DAW Surveyors we specialise in Level 3 RICS Building Surveys (previously called a full Structural Survey) which is suitable for all properties. Although there is a more simple Level 2 RICS Home Buyers Survey on offer, we do always recommend a Level 3 RICS Building Survey over this. It's the most thorough survey available for residential properties, providing a evaluation of a property's construction and detailing each element's condition, identifying defects and their causes, urgency for repairs, maintenance options, and potential repair costs. Our Level 3 Building Survey comes with a Drone inspection of the roof included as standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a Level 3 Building Survey take?
The survey itself can take several hours, depending on the property’s size and complexity. The final report is typically delivered within 3–5 working days.

Can I attend the survey?
It’s best to be in touch with the surveyor before the survey takes place about any specific concerns or comments you might have. On the day it is best to leave the surveyor to carry out the survey alone. This ensures the surveyor has focused attention and that the survey is carried out to the highest of quality.

How does it differ from a Level 2 Survey?
A Level 3 Building Survey is more detailed and suitable for properties that are older, larger, or in need of repairs, while a Level 2 Survey is best for newer, standard properties in reasonable condition.

Will the survey include cost estimates?
Our report will provide guidance on potential repair costs, helping you budget for necessary work.
